Ricky Soh

A self-professed technophile, Ricky’s fascination for computer software developed into a passion for sharing his knowledge in I.T. With more than 10 years in the I.T. training industry, Ricky’s extensive experience comes from teaching as a polytechnic lecturer and corporate instructor. With his diverse experience and broad knowledge, Ricky is an excellent facilitator whose previous participants have greatly benefitted from his insights. Besides understanding the needs of his participants, Ricky’s strengths are his clear, focused delivery and his ability to generate enthusiasm. His affable personality and cheerful style means his lessons are always interesting and engaging.

 

Ricky is a Adobe Certified Instructor in our School.

 

 

Han Guangwen

When it comes to Guangwen, the thought of him would itch your cheek muscles into smiling. As if every day is a festive holiday, you can always sense a strongly positive aura around this highly-driven interactive media enthusiast that excites you to jump along with him! 

 

Since emerging into the universe of digital media, this Adobe knight has designed many projects, from “offline” to “online” as a freelancer. Religiously believing in learning beyond the tool, it is his second nature in indulging participants with facts based on his past industrial experience and new discoveries in the interactive media line.
 
Training wise, this nut case basically digests every software, which he is very a fond of, and burped into residues of tips and tricks for his participant. (Oops! Excuse him!)
 
After office hours, if you are lucky, you might catch him online in Microsoft Xbox 360 games! For leisure, he uses pencil and paper for some Good’O sketching fun!

 

Roy Kam

The print industry benefits from the software available and its creativity of the art that stems from the heart of a learner. Getting this “art” into print is the role of Roy who marries learning of the software into a print ready material. Having the experience of the conventional method of reproduction and the present digital workflow technology, he will guide you step-by-step into the depths of the printing requirements.

Tapping on his former experiences and skills in troubleshooting related to various printing processes and colour scanning, including workflow management, Roy will reveal to you what the printing world holds which you can harness in your training time with him.

A man who generally looks at the lighter side of life, easily unveils the secrets that the printers keep away from the designers and the novice print buyers.

 

 

 

Roy Lim

Roy is a multi-instrumentalist/ producer/ trainer and is no stranger to the Music and Recording Industry in Singapore.
His garage days as a guitar player saw him pioneer local rock band Krueger alongside Singer John Molina.

Between 1992-1997 Krueger toured all of Europa's entertainment chain of bars, pubs and clubs before retiring at a final gig with Nova entertainment at Sparks.

Roy went on to pursue a career in Studio and live sessions and since 1998, have collaborated with, composed and played alongside Bands and Artists from South Asia and Singapore. Some names include Skye Woo, Grace Chow, Liquid Records, Shirlyn Tan, Yazid (Lovehunters), KO, ROCK, Suri and LIVE.

In December 1998, Roy customized an Analog home recording workstation to further his personal studies on Audio/MIDI and Music Production, and shortly after in 2000, Music Illusionists - an Analog / ADAT Digital recording Studio.

A witness to the transition from Analog Tape Recording to Non-Linear Digital Recording/Editing/Storage, Roy is also no stranger to the big names in Music Technology. An avid Logic user since version 3 and trainer since version 7, Roy provides professional consultation and these companies include ESPN, HBO Asia, Lecturers, Polytechnics, Music Colleges and Universities. Roy was also invited to the Java Jazz Festival Jarkarta in 2008 to conduct Logic Pro Seminars too.

Roy also produces music for Film and TV placements. Then in 2005, Roy and Derek Chua - Composer, arranger, session guitar player (Aaron Kwok, Stephanie Sun) came forth with Psyche Music Productions and in 2006, won an award at the RIFF Awards for Best Sound Design in the Short film Category.

As an Apple Certified Logic Studio Master Trainer and proctor, Roy provides Logic Studio Training and Certification, joins Sapura’s goals in delivering quality professional training to you.

Sherman Cheong

Sherman has been in the design and creative industry since 2001. When he joined Sapura Imaging Singapore, he has grown attached to “providing quality education” to his participants. As an ex-Graphic Designer, Sherman brings unique perspective to teaching design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; imparting not just software knowledge, but also the art of design and digital imaging. All our trainers’ performances are measured through our feedback system at the end of every class and Sherman have quite a handful of praises. This shows the depth of our Trainers and we are proud to have him teach you.

 

Sherman is a Adobe Certified Instructor in our School.

Li Chunyan

Chunyan, a Bachelor Degree holder for Computer Science and Technology is also our undisputed “Chinese Shifu” in Sapura. Her bilingual teaching capability has gain her an oversea stint that allows her to “mentor” college students in digital art through the use of Adobe Software. The students heap tons of compliments to her.
 
She has great passion and personality in training and believes that people sometimes limit their own progress by building self-defeating prophecies.  She is patient and enjoys helping student overcome the “fear” of adapting new software in the Imaging Industry. She lives on the philosophy of “Sharing” as she feels that it is only through sharing which will create a bond that is “Priceless” in taking continued learning. Her outgoing and cheerful nature has help her gain popularity among the students.
 
During her free time, she loves capturing the beauty of the world through the window of lenses and touching up any defects to make it a “Perfect World”.

 

Ian Beattie

Ian Beattie started his trade as a 3D animator and designer. A passionate trainer and teacher.
With more than sixteen years of experience, Ian Beattie is constantly on the forefront of everything current in the world of technology. He has moved from a Quantel Classic Paintbox to Apple’s state of the art of Unix environment.

He is constantly on the forefront of the digital age, that he not only solve problems, but also provide the knowledge necessary to prevent further ones. He is well-versed in managing networks and connectivity, which makes him an all-in-one, in the area understanding seamless integration between technology and a customer digital content workflow. All his training are committed to quality and will advise on the most cost effectiveness setup, when asked.
